Little Carrot

Privacy Policy

Your family's information never leaves your device.

This policy explains what that means in practice — in plain language, because there is refreshingly little to explain.

What we collect

Nothing.

Little Carrot has no servers, no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party SDKs. The app contains no networking code — it is not capable of sending your information anywhere.

What stays on your device

To do its job, Little Carrot stores the following only on your device:

  • Your baby's profile: name (optional), birth date, and allergen preferences
  • Photos you take of food labels, the text read from them, and scan results
  • Your allergen introduction log: dates and any notes you choose to record
  • Products you've scanned, remembered by barcode for faster re-scanning

We — the developer — never see, receive, or have any access to this information. Reading the label text, and any tidying of the ingredient list for display, run entirely on your device using Apple's on-device technology. Nothing you scan is ever sent anywhere.

Purchases

Premium subscriptions are processed by Apple through your Apple Account. Apple handles all payment information under Apple's Privacy Policy; we receive no personal or payment details about you — only anonymous, aggregated sales totals.

Sharing you initiate

If you choose to share something — such as the pediatrician report PDF — the app hands it to the iOS share sheet, and it goes only where you send it.

Backups

Like any iOS app, Little Carrot's on-device data may be included in your device backups (iCloud or computer), which are controlled by you and your Apple Account — not by us.

Children's privacy

Little Carrot is made for parents and caregivers — adults. Information about your child is entered by you, stored only on your device, and never transmitted to us or anyone else.

Deleting your data

Delete individual scans, logs, or baby profiles inside the app at any time — or delete the app, which removes everything it stored on your device.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of the app ever changes how data is handled (for example, an optional sync feature), we will update this policy and note it clearly in the app's update notes before the change takes effect.
